Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Weβve got answers!
Yes it can. We find that most people purchasing our Sleep To Stand Bed are currently sleeping in a power lift recliner chair because they cannot get in and out of a standard bed. Using the EZ Lift Bed gives them the ease of the power lift chair, and the comfort of a bed.
While everyoneβs situation is different, the EZ Lift Bedβs unique design allows you to simply press one button and it gently raises you to a nearly standing position. Imagine your bed doing almost all the work of climbing out and standing up for you! The same process in reverse lets it lower you back down to the position of your choice. If you can use a lift chair by yourself, you likely can do the same with your EZ Lift Bed.
While the EZ Lift bed does have several of the same functions as a home hospital bed, it is not the same. Several of our customers have switched from a hospital bed to an EZ Lift Bed because of the ease of getting in and out of it without assistance. If your primary purpose for getting a hospital bed is getting in and out, the EZ Lift Bed is for you.
The width and height the the EZ Lift bed is the same for both models. The difference is in the length. A standard twin is 75β³ long. A twin XL is 80β³ long. For people under 5β10β we recommend the twin bed. For people 6β² and taller, we recommend the twin XL.
Yes. A mattress protector can be used, as can fitted sheets. Make sure they are designed for a 6β³ thick mattress.
For users that are 5'2 and below there is a 5-8 inch scoot-back required to move into a comfortable position and ultimately use our bed from the stand-assist position. We don't recommend our bed for anyone 5'2 and unless upper body mobility is good enough to help with movement.
